Patison Scores a Win and a Championship |
November 27, 2006 - Going into the final race of the year Jason Patison had a 10 point lead in the Hoosier Tire West Modified Series and needed to finish 5th or better to wrap up the championship. Twenty-four cars showed up to qualify for the 50 lap main event at Havasu 95 Speedway, a low-banked 3/8 mile oval track in Lake Havasu, AZ.

November 13, 2006 - Going into the second to last race of the Hoosier Tire West Modified Series some drivers were there to points race and everyone wanted there share of the TV time. November 11th marked the very first televised event for the series and it drew competitors from Sacramento to San Diego.

October 18, 2006 - Going into the third to last race of the Hoosier Tire West Modified Series, Lucas Oil’s Jason Patison had his hopes high and his car ready. Jason paced both days of practice for the 50 lap modified race at I-10 Speedway, running three tenths of a second under the track record during Friday’s session.

Two top-10 finishes in first two Sprint Car Races |
September 23, 2006 - Accepting an invitation from car owner Charlie Feagan, Jason headed to Gallop, New Mexico to drive a 360 non-wing dirt Sprint Car. Not having driven dirt since the beginning of his career, Jason was looking forward to getting back to his roots. He was especially excited to experience the 700 horsepower packed by the 1400 pound Sprint Car.

September 19, 2006 - After setting fast time and winning his heat race, Jason drew a 3 car invert, putting him inside 2nd row for the start of the main. On the first turn of lap 1 Jason dove down to the bottom making it three wide coming out of turn 2, Jason’s number 80 machine cleared the pass going through turn 3 and never looked back. Jason lead every lap of the feature event to bring home his second main event win of the season.

Jason Patison Takes Second at Lake Havasu 95 Speedway |
September 11, 2006 - September 9th in Lake Havasu AZ drew the largest car count of the year for the ASA Hoosier Tire West Modified Series. Jason Patison and his Lucas Oil team went into the event with a 4 point lead on the championship and after qualifying 2nd out of 28 cars, he was in a good position to extend that lead.

August 28, 2006 - Going into Saturday’s event at Orange Show Speedway Jason Patison and his #80 Lucas Oil Modified team found themselves in 2nd place, only 2 points out of the lead in the Hoosier Tire ASA Modified Series.

June 22, 2006 - June 16 marked the inaugural event of the Hoosier Tire, ASA Modified Racing Series, the beginning of a great short track series. The 20 car field was extremely competitive with only 1 sec separating the number 1 qualifier, Dean Kuhn, and the 20th.

May 20, 2005 - The Lucas Oil Super Late Models put on another exciting show this Saturday at Irwindale Speedway. There was lots of good side by side racing and lots of crowd-pleasing wrecks. Jason Patison, the driver of the #10 Super Late Model, was happy to be part of the side by side.

Jason Patison Suffers Setback During Opening Night at Irwindale Speedway |
March 18, 2005 - Jason Patison, driver of the No. 10 Lucas Oil Chevrolet, qualified third in a 40-car field during the opening night of the Lucas Oil Super Late Model Series at Irwindale Speedway. Patison posted his best qualifying time of the weekend at 17.88-seconds around the half-mile track.

Patison Runs Strong at Talladega Super Speedway ARCA Testing |
January 12, 2005 - Jason traveled to Alabama this week to test at the famous Talladega Superspeedway. Jason was invited to the open test day by Bobby Gerhart Racing to test in their backup ARCA car. Jason took to the 2.6 mile track quickly, posting the same lap times as Bobby in the back-up car.
