| Flat Tire Ruins Day for Patison |

|
May 18, 2009
Jason Patison and his NASCAR Camping World East team traveled to Iowa Speedway for the Long John Silver’s 200, stop number three on the 12 race schedule. Patison lined up on the outside of row ten for the start of the 200 lap event. By lap 35 he had navigated up to 15th position and was working his way past a large group of competitors when the left rear tire went down, causing the car to fish tail badly and lose speed. It was the worst possible time for this as Patison’s machine was in the middle of a large group of cars and was struck in the left rear quarter panel and nose, severely damaging the body and resulting in a loss of down force. |

After qualifying 12th out of the 29 car field, Patison knew that his car would be much better on long runs and was anxious for the green flag to waive for the 200 lap main event. When the flag dropped Patison immediately went to work around the bottom groove and started working his way to the front of the field. When the caution flew at lap 100 and pit stops began Patison had worked his way up to 4th place but reported a tight condition in his racecar and called for several adjustments. |

Jason Patison and his new E3 Sparkplugs/Dixie Chopper team traveled to Irwindale this past weekend to debut their #17 Super Late Model in a pair of 40 lap races at Toyota Speedway. After spending most of the Friday night session working all of the “bugs” out of the recently finished car, the team knew they had their work cut out for them to get up to speed on Saturday. After making the most of the 35 minute practice session, Patison qualified at a time of 18.48 around the half mile oval, missing the pole by .06 but still good enough for second quick. |
